Direction Under 30 2025 — 12th Edition
The twelfth edition of the festival-competition at the Teatro Sociale di Gualtieri was held from July 18 to 20, 2025, once again putting young people at the center of the stage. Over three days, six finalist performances were presented, evaluated by under-30 juries.
The Jury Prize was awarded to "Io sono verticale" by Francesca Astrei, a tight monologue inspired by Sylvia Plath's poem of the same name, which masterfully blends words, voice, and stage presence in an exploration of fragility and disobedience. In addition to the €4,000 net prize, this edition included an extra performance in the 2025/2026 programming of the Teatro Ruggeri, in collaboration with the Municipality of Guastalla.
