Edition 2025 — Desperate Hills
The second edition of the Desperate Hills Festival was held on July 25, 2025, in San Giorgio Monferrato, a small municipality in the province of Alessandria nestled in the Monferrato hills. Staying true to its identity, the festival offered an evening entirely dedicated to the Italian punk and hardcore scene.
Three bands took to the stage: Manifesti, a young punk/alt-rock group with socially conscious lyrics; Tramontana, one of the historic names in Italian midwest emo; and closing the night, Aurevoir Sòfia, a hardcore punk band from Cinisello Balsamo. The event, with free admission and organized by a collective of local youth, reaffirmed the festival's role as a space for cultural resistance in the Monferrato Casalese area.
