Edition 2025 — Désarpa di Vertosan
In 2025, the Désarpa di Vertosan once again celebrated the descent of the herds from the pastures in Saint-Nicolas. The 'Regine' adorned with flowers reached the main village from the villages of Vens and Vedun, accompanied by the sound of cowbells, a market of typical products, and a communal lunch.
In 2025, the Désarpa di Vertosan renewed the ancient rite of demontication in Saint-Nicolas. The herds descended from the pastures of the Vertosan valley, crossing the villages of Vens and Vedun to the main village, led by the Regine adorned with floral arrangements. The day combined the parade of animals with the market of artisanal and typical products in Fossaz Dessous, a communal lunch, and music, confirming the festival as an authentic moment of Aosta Valley pastoral culture.
