Dedalo Festival 2025 — 18th Edition

The eighteenth edition of the Dedalo Festival was held from 22 to 24 August 2025 at the Villa Comunale in Caltabellotta, under the theme "Respiri – 18. Open microphones for humanity" and the artistic direction of Ezio Noto. The event was organised with the support of the Municipality of Caltabellotta and the CGIL.

The opening night on 22 August featured the unveiling of the "Dedalo" sculpture by master Salvatore Rizzuti, a live painting performance by Giovanni Proietto, and the show "Parti mancanti" (Missing Parts), a civic reflection in memory of victims of social commitment, produced in collaboration with CGIL Sicily. The evening concluded with a performance by Nonò Salamone and the presentation of the 2025 Roberto Sottile Prize to Nonò Salamone, Lello Analfino, and Salvo Piparo, followed by the screening of the documentary "Inchiesta su Danilo Dolci" by director Alberto Castiglione.

The following days featured concerts, literary meetings, art workshops, and moments dedicated to promoting the Sicani Mountains region, confirming the Dedalo Festival as one of the most significant cultural events of the Caltabellotta summer.

Friday, 22 August 2025 — Villa Comunale

• 8:00 PM — Opening conference; unveiling of the "Dedalo" sculpture by Salvatore Rizzuti; workshop and painting performance by Giovanni Proietto; presentation of the creative residency by filmmaker Vivien Mourad.
• 9:00 PM — Show "Parti mancanti", reflections in memory of Alessandro Giaccone, Accursio Miraglia, Francesca Serio, and Salvatore Carnevale (with CGIL Sicily); welcome address by Mayor Biagio Marciante; interview with Franco Blandi on the book "Francesca Serio, la madre".
• 10:30 PM — Performance by Nonò Salamone; presentation of the 2025 Dedalo Festival "Roberto Sottile" Prize to Nonò Salamone, Lello Analfino, and Salvo Piparo.
• 11:30 PM — Screening of the documentary "Inchiesta su Danilo Dolci" in the presence of director Alberto Castiglione.

The evenings of 23 and 24 August continued with music, theatre, exhibitions, and cultural meetings.
