Matteo Berrettini opened the tie by beating Pablo Carreño Busta (6-3, 6-4), then Flavio Cobolli clinched the decisive point by coming back to beat Jaume Munar (1-6, 7-6, 7-5). With this victory, Italy won its fourth Davis Cup title and third consecutive, becoming the first nation to achieve this feat since the challenge round was abolished in 1972.
