Edition 2025 — Dancescreen in the Land
The 2025 edition
The fourth edition of the festival promoted by the Associazione Canova 22 confirmed the formula that unites body, landscape, and heritage. At the beginning of September, the Appian Way Archaeological Park hosted three evenings at the church of San Nicola dei Caetani, each preceded by an archaeological walk at sunset: L'Approdo by Collettivo O with Luna Dance Theater, a tribute to the centenary of photographer Mario Giacomelli; Il gesto e la memoria with students from the National Academy of Dance; and Il mare che unisce by ArtGarage, a danced ritual inspired by Mediterranean mythology.
The Roman section at the Fornace del Canova featured Lindsay Kemp For You – Un sogno verso l'Oriente with Daniela Maccari and an immersive exhibition, PINA! by Monica Casadei dedicated to Pina Bausch, All of Us in co-production with APS Magica, and the closing performance Sensori Sensati by Michele Pogliani, an interactive performance where bodies generate sound through sensors. Tickets were 12 euros full price, 10 reduced, and 8 for students.
