Edition 2025 — Cursa di Santu Luca

In 2025, Corleone once again renewed its Cursa di Santu Luca on the last Sunday of May, with the race of the statues of Saint Leoluca and Saint Anthony the Abbot accompanied by solemn masses, processions, a historical re-enactment, and moments of popular celebration. The event, an intangible heritage of the Sicilian Region, confirmed the strong bond of the Corleone community with its patron saint and the legend of 1860.

The 2025 edition of the Cursa di Santu Luca took place in Corleone, in the Province of Palermo, according to the tradition of the last Sunday of May. The festival followed its usual course: the statues of Saint Leoluca and Saint Anthony the Abbot were carried on shoulders to the town gates and processed back to the final inchino (bow) between the two saints.

Alongside the liturgical moments in the churches of Saint Leoluca, Saint Augustine, and the Mother Church, the program offered historical re-enactments, marching bands, gastronomic festivities, and traditional fireworks. The event confirmed its value as an intangible heritage of the Sicilian Region, drawing residents and visitors to the historic center of Corleone.
