Edition 2025 — Cumiana Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Cumiana Carnival, scheduled for Sunday, February 2, drew about a thousand costumed participants through the town streets. Organized by the Pro Loco Cumiana led by president Giancarlo Filippa, the grand parade combined a marching band, historical masks from the Pinerolo area, and allegorical floats, with the traditional Frutasè and Frutasera figures taking center stage.

Cumiana Carnival 2025

The 2025 Cumiana Carnival took place on Sunday, February 2, with the parade starting at 1:30 PM from the GTT depot on Via Provinciale and arriving, via Via Boselli, at Piazza Martiri. The procession brought together about a thousand costumed participants, a marching band, around thirty historical masks from the Pinerolo area, and seven allegorical floats brought by groups from Amici del Pellice, Mat di Pinerolo, Desbela di Scalenghe, Reano, Bruere, Ponte Pietra, and Amici di Piobesi.

The festival, organized by the Pro Loco Cumiana, confirmed the traditional Frutasè and Frutasera masks as the identity-defining heart of the event, in a day of color and popular participation for the entire town.
