Culture as a Common Good

Among the cultural events animating the province of Brescia, Culture Care holds a special place. Promoted by Teatro19 together with local administrations and healthcare organizations in the area, the event was born with the aim of affirming culture as a common good and a tool for social transformation, fostering a dialogue between theatre and the theme of mental health.

The performances and meetings are distributed between Brescia and Franciacorta, involving several municipalities including Rovato, where the events take place at the Sala Civica del Foro Boario.

Theatre, Workshops, and Community

The Rovato program intertwines theatrical productions and the outcomes of workshops conducted in the area. Also featured is the Compagnia Fuoribinario, composed of users of the CPS (Centro Psico Sociale - Social Psychiatric Centre) of Rovato and citizens, who stage the results of the Culture Care Franciacorta theatre workshop, active every week at the Sala Civica del Foro Boario.

Alongside the performances, the event offers shows like "L'Ombra", a production by Compagnia Laboratorio Metamorfosi/Teatro19 created in collaboration with ASST Spedali Civili of Brescia: a dramatic and dreamlike work that addresses the depths of the human soul through the language of theatre.
