The 2025 edition: sixth stage of the Coppa Sicilia
On Sunday, July 13, 2025, Rocca di Caprileone, in the municipality of Capri Leone (ME), hosted the individual time trial known as the Cronoscalata del Leone, valid as the sixth stage of the 2025 Coppa Sicilia. The event took place along the Strada Provinciale Panoramica della Valle del Fitalia, featuring an uphill course of approximately 7 kilometers characterized by an average gradient of around 5-6% and an elevation gain of just under 400 meters.
The organization was managed by ASD Team Sport e Service, which gathered amateur athletes from Sicilian clubs for a race against the clock in the Tyrrhenian setting of the Nebrodi mountains. The success of the event contributed to the decision to promote the time trial to the opening event of the calendar in the following season.
