2025 Edition — The Crispiano Nativity in Manduria
The 2025 edition of the Crispiano Living Nativity was hosted, in an exclusive format, in the historic center of Manduria on January 4th and 5th, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Amidst the squares and alleys of the village, visitors were able to move freely along a path animated by over a hundred costumed performers.
The scenes evoked the nativity and ancient rural crafts — the cheesemaker, the basket weaver, the seamstresses — while the atmosphere was accompanied by the sound of bagpipes and pastoral music from the regional tradition. The initiative, organized by the Pro Loco Crispiano in collaboration with the Municipality of Manduria, confirmed the cultural value of a pageant born in Crispiano in 1986 and considered the oldest in Puglia.
