Edition 2025 — Craftsmanship, Faith and Identity
The 2025 context
In January 2025, as per tradition, Catania prepared for the feast of its patron saint, Saint Agatha, a central moment of the city's religious and civic identity in the Sicily Region. The community of the Church of S.S. Maria Assunta alla Plaia and the Master Artisans guarded the devotional symbols of the district, including the Cereo of the Master Artisans, an expression of the bond between faith and traditional trades.
From this deeply rooted heritage of popular devotion, Sicilian craftsmanship, and local culture, the Craftsmanship, Faith and Identity festival took shape, which in subsequent editions has brought together artisans, artists, and citizens for a weekend of art and spirituality leading up to Saint Agatha.
