Edition 2025 — Corri a Mascalucia

In 2025, no edition of Corri a Mascalucia was held with the Survivor Series format: the event, organized by ASD Altis Athletics in the Municipality of Mascalucia (CT), only debuted in March 2026, bringing the knockout race on a 1,000-meter circuit to Sicily for the first time. The Etna area remains a territory with a strong running tradition, with numerous road races held every year between Catania and the towns on the slopes of Mount Etna.

The Corri a Mascalucia in its current formula is a recently established event: the Survivor Series format was presented as an absolute novelty for Sicily and was proposed for the first time in 2026. Consequently, there is no 2025 edition of the race under this name and format.

The Municipality of Mascalucia, in the Catania hinterland at the foot of Mount Etna, is part of a regional context rich in amateur running events, animated by local sports clubs and the FIDAL and CSAIn federations. It is within this fabric that ASD Altis Athletics chose to launch, starting in 2026, a spectacular race destined to be repeated in the following years.
