Corpus Domini Procession

The 2025 Edition

In 2025, the community of Lipari renewed its appointment with the Corpus Domini solemnity, one of the most heartfelt occasions on the island. After the Eucharistic celebration in the Cathedral of San Bartolomeo, the traditional procession began through the streets of the historic center, with the participation of the historic Confraternities of Lipari and the faithful.

The Blessed Sacrament, carried under a canopy, passed through the main streets of the town — from Via del Concordato to Corso Vittorio Emanuele, up to Piazza Marina Corta — ending the route at the Church of San Giuseppe. The festival confirmed the strong bond between the Aeolian island, its cathedral, and the local religious tradition in the province of Messina.
