Corpus Domini Flower Festival of Parabita

The 2025 edition confirmed the vitality of a tradition that is renewed every year in Parabita. On the occasion of the Corpus Domini solemnity, celebrated on Sunday, June 22, the town's historic center was covered in petals thanks to the work of volunteers from the San Giovanni Battista Parish and the "Madonna della Coltura" Solidarity Center.

The floral carpet, created using the usual technique of flowers selected by color and integrated with colored salt and recycled materials, was composed throughout the day. After the solemn mass in the Mother Church of San Giovanni Battista, the procession of the Blessed Sacrament crossed the floral work, releasing its fragrance and renewing a rite that combines faith and ephemeral art in the heart of lower Salento.
