Corpus Domini Festival

The 2025 edition of the Corpus Domini Festival in Valguarnera Caropepe (province of Enna) renewed the tradition of the "sir' rù Signur": starting from Corpus Domini Sunday, June 22, 2025, the evening processions crossed all the town's districts for several consecutive evenings.

As every year, neighbors set up autàr at street corners, decorating them with flowers and embroidered fabrics, while rose petals fell from balconies draped in white linens as the monstrance passed. The evening ritual, marked by the Tantum Ergo, the Eucharistic blessing, the band, and firecrackers, confirmed the festival promoted by the Confraternity of the Sacrament as one of the most heartfelt religious traditions in the Sicilian hinterland.
