Corpus Domini - Eucharistic Procession

The 2025 edition of Corpus Domini in Syracuse renewed the traditional solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. The Eucharistic celebration took place at the Basilica Sanctuary of Our Lady of Tears, presided over by Archbishop Monsignor Francesco Lomanto, and concluded with a procession of priests, religious, confraternities, associations, and the faithful that reached the square of the Church of San Tommaso al Pantheon, where the Eucharistic blessing was imparted.

In his address, the Archbishop offered a reflection strongly marked by the dramatic events that had struck the country, launching a heartfelt appeal: "Let us reject all forms of violence," while emphasizing the message of peace and charity of the Eucharist.
