Corn Husking and Shelling Festival

The fifteenth edition of the Corn Husking and Shelling Festival was held on August 30 and 31, 2025, in Ruscito, in the Municipality of Piedimonte San Germano, with activities starting in the afternoon from 5:00 PM.

In 2025, the "Gli Amici della Campagna" Cultural Movement once again proposed the formula that made the event famous throughout the province of Frosinone: the parade of vintage agricultural machinery through the district, the exhibition field with 1950s and 60s threshers, live demonstrations of corn husking and shelling, and workshops dedicated to children.

On the gastronomic front, the stalls offered tastings of historical 1960s dishes, from polenta with vegetables to typical Ciociarian products. The evenings were enlivened by re-enactments of peasant labor and live music, with folk dancing open to all ages. Local news reported a massive turnout as early as the opening night.
