The most beloved village in the Marche region transforms into a Christmas village amidst medieval walls and illuminations
When December arrives, Corinaldo changes its face. The village, recognized among The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy and awarded the most beloved village in Italy, lights up its illuminations and transforms into a large Christmas village. The setting is the unique backdrop of the 14th-century walls, among the best-preserved in the entire Marche region, which frames a month of events designed for families, children, and the curious of all ages.
The event opens on November 30th with the lighting of the tree and illuminations in the historic center, and continues until Epiphany. The heart of the event is the festive weekends: the Immaculate Conception long weekend (December 6th-8th) and the Sundays of the month, when the village streets come alive with itinerant shows, live music, circus performances, juggling, and creative workshops for the little ones.
Along Via del Corso winds the Christmas market, with artisan and typical products, while in the historic center, Santa's House opens its doors, with the candy factory, the elves' toy workshop, the post office, and the North Pole. The big novelty of this edition is the ice skating rink, set up in the charming setting of Porta del Mercato, at the foot of the walls. There's no shortage of roasted chestnuts, mulled wine, and the warm atmosphere of the holidays.
Among the most beloved attractions is the artistic-mechanical nativity scene curated by the Santa Apollonia district, a true jewel of craftsmanship and movement. The C. Goldoni Municipal Theater hosts a rich program of theatrical performances and concerts, while the Municipal Library offers readings and workshops for children. The Great Christmas concludes on January 6th with the traditional and highly anticipated Epiphany Festival, hosted in the Madonna del Piano district.
Visiting Corinaldo during the Christmas period means experiencing Christmas in an authentic and intimate dimension, far from the frenzy of big cities. The Municipality of Corinaldo, in the province of Ancona, offers an experience where the village itself - with its alleys, staircases, and the famous Piaggia - becomes the natural backdrop for the celebration.
Corinaldo's Great Christmas 2025-2026 brought the magic of the holidays to the village walls from November 30, 2025, to January 6, 2026. The event opened with the lighting of the tree and illuminations, then came alive on the December weekends, starting with the Immaculate Conception long weekend (December 6-8) and the Sundays of December 14 and 21, with itinerant shows, live music, circus performances, and workshops for children.
The big novelty of the edition was the ice skating rink at Porta del Mercato, at the foot of the walls. The classic attractions loved by the public were confirmed: the Christmas market along Via del Corso, Santa's House with its toy workshop and post office, and the artistic-mechanical nativity scene from the Santa Apollonia district. The closing, on January 6, 2026, was entrusted to the traditional Epiphany Festival in the Madonna del Piano district.
By car: take the Senigallia exit from the A14 highway, then follow the SP Corinaldese inland (about 20 minutes). By train: Senigallia station on the Adriatic line, then bus or taxi to Corinaldo.
From November 30, 2025, to January 6, 2026, with events concentrated on weekends and Sundays in December, generally from afternoon to evening.
