Coreutica 2025: the eleventh edition

From July 13th to 20th, 2025, San Vito dei Normanni (Brindisi province) hosted the eleventh edition of Coreutica, the artistic residency of the World Music Academy dedicated to the musical and choreographic heritage of the Mediterranean. It was one of the most extensive editions ever, with hundreds of dancers from all over Italy gathered for an intensive week of workshops, seminars, and training courses.

The program was led by guests from Puglia, Italy, and Greece, including instructors Franco Gagliani, Fabrizio Nigro, Vincenzo Gagliani, Andrea De Siena, Mina Vita, Massimiliano Morabito, Claudia Caldarano, and Tommy Cattin, along with the Greek ensemble from Thessaloniki. Disciplines ranged from pizzica pizzica to tambourine, and from contemporary dance to traditional Greek dances.

Activities took place between the Laboratorio Urbano ExFadda, the Teatro Tex, the historic center, the rock-hewn church of San Biagio, and the village of Serranova. Public free events included talks, the performance Troffea / La piaga del ballo, musical gatherings, and the grand final ronda on July 20th in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II.
