The 2025 Contrade Festival

The 2025 edition of the Contrade Festival took place on July 22, 2025, in Civitella Alfedena, in the province of L'Aquila. True to its nature as a community festival, the event focused on the folklore and popular traditions of the mountain village, with the active participation of the entire population.

Among the paved alleys and squares of the historic center, the festival represented one of the highlights of the summer in the smallest village of the Abruzzo Park, overlooking Lake Barrea. It was an opportunity to rediscover the village's identity and the flavors of the Abruzzo mountain tradition, in a natural setting of rare beauty between the lake, beech forests, and mountains.
