Edition 2025 — Contemporary Via Crucis

In 2025, the Contemporary Via Crucis once again renewed the Good Friday rite in its artistic form in Castronuovo di Sant'Andrea: the fourteen stations reinterpreted by a contemporary artist, set up along the village streets and walked in procession by the community.

The 2025 edition of the Contemporary Via Crucis confirmed the formula that characterizes the Good Friday event in Castronuovo di Sant'Andrea: the reinterpretation of the fourteen stations of the Passion by a contemporary artist, in dialogue with the cultural vocation of the village and its Polo Museale. The procession among the artist-designed works, set up and illuminated along the historic center, combined religious devotion and aesthetic reflection, in the evocative setting of the Lucanian Pollino.
