Edition 2025 — Contemporanea Festival
In 2025, Contemporanea / Focus Danza presented a special edition entirely dedicated to contemporary dance, staged in Prato from May 22 to 30. The festival, promoted by the Fondazione Teatro Metastasio and directed by Edoardo Donatini, hosted twelve young artists and companies over the course of six evenings and twelve performances.
The heart of the festival was the Fabbricone, supported by SpazioK and the Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Art. The edition investigated the dancing body as a site of thought, a critical space, and a vector of knowledge, with the support of the Tuscany Region, the Municipality, and the Province of Prato.
