Edition 2025 — Confuoco di Pietra Ligure
The 2025 edition took place on Sunday, December 21, in Piazza La Pietra, in the historic centre of Pietra Ligure. At 4:00 PM, at the Guido Moretti Cinema Theatre, there were poems and Christmas songs from elementary schools and the awarding of the 'Pietrese dell'Anno' prize, given to Dr. Nicoletta Gandolfo, president of the Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology.
At 5:00 PM, the lighting of the 'oiba', the laurel log, with the Light of Peace from Bethlehem, accompanied by the historical procession of the "Jus Tenens" Group and the Guido Moretti 1518 Philharmonic Band. According to tradition, flames rising straight towards the sky herald a positive and fortunate year.
