Edition 2025 — Concerto per Gesù Bambino
The eighth edition
The 8th edition of the Concerto per Gesù Bambino filled the Church of San Vito Martire in Lequile on the liturgical feast of the Most Holy Name of Jesus. The 'Santa Cecilia' Wind Orchestra offered a varied and engaging repertoire, featuring compositions by Ennio Morricone, Johannes Brahms, Georges Bizet, and pieces by Harry Belafonte and Paul Anka, concluding with the inevitable hymn dedicated to San Vito, the town's patron saint.
Each piece was introduced by Ausilia Maglione, who guided the audience through the performance with small but significant commentary. The event was organized by the Maria SS. Assunta Parish, led by Don Michele Giannone, in collaboration with the Confraternities of the Immaculate, the Most Holy Sacrament, and the Suffrage, receiving great participation from the community of Lequile and Salento.
