The grand festival of ballroom and social dancing at Maxi Dancing Tris in Terre Roveresche
The Compilation Nazionale di Italia Musica, nicknamed by the public and press the Sanremo of Dance, is one of the most beloved and followed events in the Italian liscio and ballroom dancing scene. The festival takes place at the Maxi Dancing Tris, a historic dance venue located in Schieppe, a hamlet of the Municipality of Terre Roveresche, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, in the heart of the Marche region.
Born as a showcase for the best national formations, the event has grown edition after edition to become a benchmark for enthusiasts from all over the peninsula, capable of attracting over two thousand spectators in a single evening.
On the Tris stage, over forty artists perform, including orchestras, singers, and groups specializing in couple, group, and Latin American dances, in a celebration that combines live music, performances, and plenty of dancing. The musical direction is entrusted to a base orchestra that accompanies the entire evening, while numerous special guests from the world of liscio and light music enrich the program.
As tradition dictates, each year the hosting is entrusted to an exceptional godmother, chosen from the most famous faces of Italian television: over the years, personalities such as Emanuela Aurizi, Stefania Orlando, Adriana Volpe, and, for the most recent edition, Anna Falchi, have graced the stage.
The festival is conceived and organized by the Associazione Musicale Primavera, chaired by Sergio Boldorini, and enjoys the patronage of the Municipality of Terre Roveresche, the Province of Pesaro and Urbino, and the Region of Marche. More than just a concert, the Sanremo of Dance is a celebration of the popular culture of dancing, deeply rooted in the traditions of Romagna and the Marche, where dance halls have been a place of social gathering and celebration for decades.
Terre Roveresche is a scattered municipality formed by the merger of several small towns in the Pesaro hinterland, including Orciano di Pesaro, to whose hamlet of Schieppe the Maxi Dancing Tris belongs.
