The origins of the festival

Colori nel Vento - Kite Festival is a recently established event in the calendar of Castellammare del Golfo, in the province of Trapani. There are no documented editions prior to 2026 for this kite event on Spiaggia Playa: the festival is part of the Municipality's strategy to enrich the tourist and cultural offering along the Sicilian coast, distributing events from June to November. Kites and the area's strong bond with the sea and wind—nearby San Vito Lo Capo hosts one of the most well-known international festivals in the sector—make Spiaggia Playa a natural stage for this type of open-air spectacle.
