In 2025, Cogoleto re-enacted the feat of Christopher Columbus with costumed parades, flag-wavers, and Renaissance dances in the historic centre and along the seafront. The event renewed the town's connection with the navigator whose birth it claims.
The 2025 edition of Cogoleto ai Tempi di Colombo confirmed the re-enactment dedicated to the famous fellow citizen. Through the streets of the centre and along the sea, costumed figures, flag-wavers, and dance groups brought back the atmosphere of the 15th century and the era of great discoveries, in an event that enhances the historical identity of Cogoleto, on the Genoese Riviera di Ponente.
