Cocomerata 2025: taste and music in Piazza della Rocca

The 2025 Cocomerata in Gallicano nel Lazio was held on Friday, July 25 in Piazza della Rocca, confirming the most anticipated event of the town's summer. The organization was handled by the Pro Loco Gallus Canit APS, with the patronage of the Municipality of Gallicano nel Lazio and the support of Cantina S. Andrea.

At 7:30 PM, the food stalls opened, featuring traditional Lazio dishes and, of course, the fresh watermelon distributed to participants: the symbol of summer and joy that gives the evening its name.

The music

From 9:00 PM, the musical show began with Lucia e i Cassiopea Group, a band known to the Canale Italia audience, which proposed a repertoire of ballroom dancing, group dances, and revivals designed to engage all ages. The square was filled with families, groups of friends, and residents of all generations, in an evening with completely free entry.

In 2025, the Cocomerata once again confirmed its nature as a popular community festival, capable of enlivening the historic center of one of the most characteristic villages of the Prenestini Mountains, just outside Rome.
