The 2025 Offshore World Championship in Rodi Garganico
The 2025 edition, named Gran Prix Regione Puglia, Trofeo Città di Rodi Garganico, and Memorial Mario Paolo Masiero (in memory of the nautical figure who passed away at sea in 2016), enlivened the waters of the tourist port on the weekend of July 5-6.
In Saturday's Short Race, the D20 Blu Banca (Serafino Barlesi - Joakim Kumlin) took the lead ahead of the D96 Foresti&Suardi. Sunday's Long Race, interrupted by a red flag on the fourteenth lap due to the D20 capsizing, was won by the D96 Foresti&Suardi with the French-Italian crew of François Pinelli and Saul Bubacco. An excellent second place went to the Italian team Gasbeton D10, Lorenzo and Andrea Bacchi, confirming the value of the Italian fleet in the discipline.
