The Civita Jazz Festival is one of the most appreciated musical reviews in the Macerata area: every spring, it brings three concerts to the stage of the Teatro Annibal Caro, in the historic center of Civitanova Alta (Municipality of Civitanova Marche, province of Macerata, in the Marche region), blending jazz, songwriting, and contaminations with Italian pop music. The setting is the elegant and intimate atmosphere of a historic theatre overlooking the village, capable of restoring jazz to its most intimate and listening-focused dimension.

A growing review

Born in 2023, the event has quickly established itself as one of the reference cultural events of the Civitanova season. The artistic direction is entrusted to Luca Scagnetti, who each year builds a balanced program between big names in Italian jazz and original vocal projects. The festival is promoted by the Azienda dei Teatri di Civitanova together with the Culture Department of the Municipality, the Marche Region, and AMAT (Associazione Marchigiana Attività Teatrali).

The voice in the spotlight

The common thread of the latest editions is the centrality of the voice: alongside instrumentalists, the festival gives ample space to singers and vocal projects that reinterpret Italian and international repertoire in a jazz style. From intimate and meditative atmospheres to tributes to music greats, each evening offers a different sonic journey, always with artistic quality as its compass.

The evenings are usually held at 9:15 PM and can be attended individually or with a subscription to the three concerts on the program.
