Portogruaro's Musical Summer
When summer arrives, the historic center of Portogruaro, in the Province of Venice, lights up every Wednesday evening with the Musical Wednesdays, the heart of the summer event Città Viva. The squares and streets of the "little Venice" of Eastern Veneto become widespread stages for musicians, bands, and soloists.
Widespread Music in the Streets
Along a route from Borgo San Giovanni through Corso Martiri della Libertà to Via del Seminario, bands and artists perform live rock, jazz, folk, pop, and many other genres. The public strolls from one point to another in the center, discovering new performances each time, amidst group dances, street shows, and festive moments.
A Celebration for the Whole City
The Musical Wednesdays are designed as a popular and free event, capable of engaging residents and visitors of all ages. The initiative enlivens the center on summer evenings, while simultaneously supporting the city's commercial activities and social life.
Organized by Pro Loco
Promoted by Pro Loco of Portogruaro in collaboration with economic associations and with the support of the Municipality, the Città Viva event confirms the historic center's role as a vibrant space for meeting and culture for all of Eastern Veneto.
Musical Wednesdays — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Musical Wednesdays renews the Città Viva summer event in the historic center of Portogruaro, with weekly appointments every Wednesday evening in July.
As tradition dictates, the streets and squares of the center—from Borgo San Giovanni to Corso Martiri della Libertà and Via del Seminario—will host bands and soloists with live music, group dances, and street performances. The detailed evening program, with artists and locations, will be published by Pro Loco of Portogruaro in the weeks prior.

- Every Wednesday evening in July, approximately from 9:00 PM
- Live music of various genres (rock, jazz, folk, pop, and more) along the route from Borgo San Giovanni to Corso Martiri della Libertà and Via del Seminario
- Bands and soloists at various locations in the historic center
- Group dances and street performances

How to get there
Portogruaro is reachable by train (Portogruaro-Caorle station) and by car via the A4 motorway, Portogruaro exit. Performances take place in the historic center, along the route from Borgo San Giovanni to Via del Seminario.
