Citrus Festival

On November 8, 9, and 10, 2025, Piazza Duomo in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto hosted Citrus Festival, the event dedicated to the citrus fruits of the Barcellona area. Along the stalls set up in the square, visitors were able to discover tastings of orange and lemon specialties, street food, and traditional sweets, from citrus cake to the traditional Maccheronata di San Martino.

The evenings were accompanied by live shows, music, and DJ sets, as well as team games and entertainment for families. A popular festival that combined the promotion of typical products, regional tourism, and social connection, in the tradition of the great citrus-growing history of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto.

The three days

The event was spread over three evenings, from November 8 to 10, 2025, in Piazza Duomo.

• Tastings of citrus-based specialties and local traditional dishes, offered by local producers and businesses;
• Street food featuring oranges and lemons, and traditional sweets like citrus cake;
• Live shows, music, and DJ sets in the evenings;
• Team games and entertainment for families and young people;
• the traditional Maccheronata di San Martino, linked to the November 11th holiday.
