Edition 2025 — Circostante

In the summer of 2025, contemporary circus did not yet have its own dedicated festival in Carpi: Circostante was actually created as a new event for 2026. However, the 2025 season of LaCarpiEstate did liven up the historic centre and parks with music, theatre, cinema, and outdoor performances, laying the groundwork for the arrival of the new circus programme in the Courtyard of Honour of the Pio Castle and Piazzale Re Astolfo.

The Circostante festival debuts in 2026: in the summer of 2025, it was not yet present in Carpi's calendar as an independent event dedicated to contemporary circus. The 2025 season of LaCarpiEstate, in Carpi in the province of Modena, ran from May to October with concerts, theatre, cinema, sports, and family events, held in Piazzale Re Astolfo, the Courtyard of Honour of the Palazzo dei Pio, and surrounding villages. It is precisely on this foundation of live outdoor performances that the new contemporary circus offering is built the following year.
