Ciocco Fest 2025: a public success

From March 28 to 30, 2025, the historic center of Castelvetrano became the "city of sweetness" thanks to Ciocco Fest, the artisanal chocolate festival organized by Pro Loco Selinunte. Along Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and in the Sistema delle Piazze, over 80 stalls were set up with chocolate-based specialties: arancine, crepes, gourmet pizzas, waffles, cassatelle, and sfince.

The program combined gastronomy, culture, and entertainment: educational chocolate-making workshops at the former Convento dei Minimi, urban tours of the monuments, impromptu painting sessions, street bands, live music, group dancing, and DJ sets. The event attracted thousands of visitors, with over 16 buses and numerous campers arriving from all over Sicily. Mayor Giovanni Lentini described Castelvetrano as "a place of meeting and hospitality," thanking the volunteers, law enforcement, Civil Protection, and the Red Cross for their great organizational efforts.
