Edition 2025 — Ciauna Festival

In May 2025, the Ciauna Festival returned to animate the historic center of Valdina with its now consolidated food and wine trail. Two days dedicated to the ciauna, the typical pastry made with sheep's milk ricotta, sugar, honey, and cinnamon, featuring tastings prepared by local women, stalls of artisanal products, and live music, in a celebration that renews the community's bond with its traditions every year.

Ciauna Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Ciauna Festival confirmed the success of an event that, since 2013, has promoted the signature pastry of Valdina (Messina). In the village's historic center, visitors were able to follow the food and wine trail among tasting stands, local products, and traditional cuisine, savoring the ciauna prepared according to the ancient Easter recipe.

The evenings were enlivened by musical performances, singing, and dancing in the square, in the convivial atmosphere that characterizes the festival. The event once again proposed its blend of gastronomy, culture, and community memory, confirming itself as one of the most heartfelt spring appointments in Valdina, Sicily.
