Christmas 2024/2025 in Pofi

During the winter of 2024/2025, the historic center of Pofi, in Ciociaria, lit up for the holidays, confirming the village's Christmas vocation, which would later find its more structured form in the Christmas Village event.

The living nativity

The most attended moment was the living nativity scene presented on December 28 and 29, 2024, by the parishes of Santa Maria Maggiore and San Rocco, in its twelfth edition: a journey back to the time of Jesus along the alleys of the medieval village, with the opening of historic cellars and a biblical and gastronomic path from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. From 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the Folklore pofano group accompanied visitors with traditional Ciociaria songs, dances, and music.

A village to experience in winter

Festive lights in the stone alleys, nativity scenes set up in corners of the town, and initiatives by local associations completed the holiday period, in a context that enhances the historic architecture of Pofi and the view over the Sacco Valley.
