Christmas Under the Stars 2025

The event brought the center of San Giovanni Rotondo to life from December 11, 2025, to January 6, 2026. The opening ceremony on December 11 at 6:00 PM featured the lighting of the tree and illuminations, and the inauguration of the markets and the nativity exhibition.

Markets and nativity scenes remained open daily with continuous hours from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM (and until 1:00 AM on holidays). Santa's House welcomed children daily from 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM, with Santa Claus present on dedicated days. On December 31, from 11:30 PM, the New Year's Eve celebration in the square offered music, sparkling wine, and panettone; on January 6 at 5:00 PM, the Befana descended from the Town Hall roof to deliver stockings to the children.

December 11, 2025 — Opening

• 6:00 PM — Lighting of the tree and illuminations, inauguration of the nativity exhibition and Christmas markets in Piazza del Municipio

• Christmas markets and nativity exhibition open daily, continuous hours 10:30 AM–11:00 PM (holidays until 1:00 AM)
• Santa's House open daily 10:30 AM–8:30 PM
• Santa Claus present on December 11, 12, 13, 19, 20, 22, 23, and 24, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

December 31, 2025 — New Year's Eve in the square

• From 11:30 PM — Music, sparkling wine, and panettone offered in Piazza del Municipio (weather permitting)

January 6, 2026 — Epiphany

• 5:00 PM — The Befana descends from the Town Hall roof and delivers a stocking with sweets to all the children
