Christmas in the Heart of the Historic Center

The 2025 edition of the Christmas program in Atessa took place from December 5, 2025, to January 6, 2026. The inauguration, on Saturday, December 6, featured a parade by the Atessa City Band and Majorettes, the lighting of the tree in Piazza Garibaldi, and the opening of the ice skating rink and Santa's House.

• Choco Christmas (December 6-8): artisanal chocolate and local products market;
• December 12: "Max Ionata Special Edition" jazz concert at the Teatro Antonio Jorio;
• December 13-14: Coldiretti Abruzzo Christmas village with street artists, fire-eaters, and dancers;
• December 20-21: meeting with Santa Claus, free photos, and entertainment;
• January 6: arrival of the Befana in flight in Piazza Garibaldi.

The Nativity Scene Museum and the Calici in Città food and wine tours completed an entirely free program, which was very well attended throughout the Sangro area.
