Christmas in the Center 2025 in Alatri

From December 8, 2025, to January 6, 2026, the historic center of Alatri (Frosinone, Lazio) hosted the "Follow the Star" edition of the "Christmas in the Center" project, promoted by the Municipality of Alatri together with the Pro Loco. A month of events including illuminations, markets, nativity scenes, concerts, and activities for children.

The Lighting Ceremony and Nativity Scene Exhibition

The festival opened on December 8th with "Alatri Lights Up" in Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore: carols under the tree, the switching on of the illuminations, and the inauguration of the 22nd Artistic Nativity Scene Exhibition in the Cloister of San Francesco, which remained open until January 11, 2026. On December 7th, the eighth edition of "Illumilalbero" was held.

Concerts and Shows

Musical highlights included the "Bonì Bonanno" concert in the Church of San Francesco, the "Christmas Pop" by the town band, the "Christmas Waltz" in Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore, and the New Year's Concert (2nd edition) in the Cathedral of San Paolo Apostolo on January 1, 2026, featuring the Cento Città Symphony Orchestra conducted by Manlio Polletta.

Main events of the 2025-2026 edition: - December 7: "Illumilalbero" (8th edition), tree lighting and markets; - December 8: "Alatri Lights Up", with carols under the tree (3:30 PM), illumination lighting (5:30 PM), and inauguration of the 22nd Artistic Nativity Scene Exhibition in the Cloister of San Francesco (Piazza Regina Margherita); - December 27: "Bonì Bonanno" concert in the Church of San Francesco, "Christmas Waltz" and "Christmas Pop" by the town band in Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore; - December 28: "The Great Harry Potter Game" for children in Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore and Christmas concerts by the Music School; - January 1, 2026: New Year's Concert (2nd edition) in the Cathedral of San Paolo Apostolo with the Cento Città Symphony Orchestra; - Throughout the period: Christmas markets along Viale Duca d'Aosta and Artistic Nativity Scene Exhibition.
