Christmas in Mistretta / Way of the Nativity Scenes and Flavors

The "Christmas in Mistretta 2025" festival was held from December 15, 2025, to January 9, 2026. The highlight was the inauguration of the Way of the Nativity Scenes and Flavors on December 18, with a ceremony accompanied by the sound of the zampogna and traditional Christmas instruments.

From Piazza San Felice, a procession guided visitors to discover the approximately twenty-five nativity scenes created for the occasion among the churches, alleys, and private homes of the historic center, many of which were enriched with messages of peace. The Christmas markets and tastings of typical dishes in Largo Progresso remained open until December 21. The living nativity scene, scheduled for December 21, was postponed due to bad weather. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Mistretta, confirmed the Nebrodi village as one of the most evocative Christmas destinations in the province of Messina.
