A festive December in Sabina

In December 2025, the Municipality of Fara in Sabina (province of Rieti, Lazio) offered a widespread Christmas program across the hamlets and the historic center. The most anticipated event was the Polentata with Santa Claus, now in its second edition, scheduled for Sunday, December 7, in Prime Case starting in the morning.

The day saw the opening of Christmas markets with the participation of primary school students and the Sottosopra center, the arrival of Santa Claus accompanied by the vintage cars of the 500 Club Italia of Rieti, and a performance by the Arce Sabina marching band from Talocci. In the square, the traditional polenta with spare ribs and sausages was served, along with roasted chestnuts and mulled wine. In the afternoon, there was space for children with a workshop at the Civic Archaeological Museum of the Sabina Tiberina, Christmas carols, and a fire show.

The calendar was completed by the Immaculate Conception markets on Via XXIV Maggio in Passo Corese, museum events, and initiatives dedicated to the nativity scene in local churches.
