Edition 2025 — Lumina
The Lumina 2025 edition took place in Caltagirone from December 1, 2025, to January 6, 2026, enlivening the Baroque historic center of the city, in the Province of Catania, for over a month. The program featured the itinerary of artistic nativity scenes across numerous exhibition sites, from the monumental animated nativity scene—one of the largest in Italy, with over three hundred terracotta figures—to the surprising nativity scene made of 100,000 LEGO bricks.
The city hosted three Christmas markets: the Piazza Umberto market and the hobbyist market in the "Luigi Sturzo" Gallery, open until January 6, and the art exhibition-market at the former Fish Market, extended until January 11. In Piazza Umberto, the ceramic Christmas tree was set up with 130 plates hand-decorated by master ceramicists from Caltagirone. Traditional events were also held: the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8, the Feast of Saint Lucy on December 13, and the arrival of the Three Wise Men for Epiphany.
