Edition 2025 — A Mulignan
The 2025 edition
On August 7th and 8th, 2025, the Chocolate Eggplant Festival of Maiori was held in the Gardens of Palazzo Mezzacapo, with stands opening at 8:00 PM. The heart of the event remained the De.Co. dessert combining fried eggplant and chocolate, prepared according to Nunzia Pastore's recipe.
The full menu included eggplant panzanella, Sicilian-style casarecci, cuzzetiello with meatballs and sautéed eggplant, the traditional dessert, drinks, and limoncello. On stage, Maiur è! was performed—a show of theater, dance, and folk music curated by the Atellana Association, directed by Costantino Amatruda, with choreography by schools led by Patrizia Scarpati, Rossella Ferrara, and Trofimena Sarno; live music was provided by the group I Medina. There were three tasting options, priced at 5, 10, and 20 euros, with free admission for children under 12.
