It is part of the Venice Carnival calendar.

The Chirignago Carnival

The Chirignago Carnival is one of the most beloved float parades in the Venetian mainland, in the Chirignago district on the outskirts of Mestre. Included in the Venice Carnival calendar, it is a highly popular event that involves float groups from the area and numerous associations.

Floats and Hundreds of Participants

The procession brings together several floats and hundreds of costumed participants, accompanied by the twelve Maries of the Venice Carnival. The parade starts from Via Montessori, runs along Via Miranese, and concludes in Piazza San Giorgio, the heart of the festival.

Shows, Majorettes, and Children's Attractions

In addition to masks and floats, the program includes the traditional Flight of the Mask from the bell tower, shows for children, majorettes, live music, and entertainment. A family-friendly, free, and engaging Carnival that colors the streets of the district.

The Mainland Festival

Promoted by C2020 and Eventi 2000 in collaboration with the Venice Carnival, the event confirms the vitality of the Carnival traditions of Chirignago (VE), in Veneto, and the Venetian mainland.
