Edition 2025 — Chestnut Festival

The 49th Montagnareale Chestnut Festival took place on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in the village's historic center, between Piazza della Vittoria and Piazza Dante. For an entire day, the town's streets were transformed into a culinary trail featuring roasted chestnuts, chestnut desserts, honey, artisanal liqueurs, and typical Nebrodi products, accompanied by guided tours, excursions in the chestnut groves, artisan stalls, performances, and music until evening.

The 2025 edition of the Chestnut Festival in Montagnareale, the 49th, was held on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The historic center of the Nebrodi village, in the province of Messina, hosted an entire day dedicated to the queen of the Sicilian autumn.

Along the streets and in the squares, visitors were able to taste roasted chestnuts and raw chestnuts, walnuts, and hazelnuts, as well as honey, artisanal liqueurs, chestnut bread and cakes, and cannoli filled with ricotta and chestnut cream. Numerous side events took place: guided tours of the historic center, excursions in the chestnut groves, visits to the ancient Capo mill and the restored oil mills and wine presses, artisan stalls, exhibitions, and entertainment. The day concluded in the square with music and dancing.
