Edition 2025 — Praznik Češenj
The 2025 edition of the Cherry Festival - Praznik Češenj took place in Caresana on the last weekend of May, confirming the traditional Trieste Karst event with cherries, grilled food, red wine, and Slovenian folk music from the Slovenian Cultural Association Mačkolje.
In 2025, the Praznik Češenj once again brought the atmosphere of the Karst cherry festival to Caresana. Under the village trees, the wooden tables welcomed visitors from all over the province of Trieste, amidst baskets of cherries, grilled meats, and Karst red wine.
The evenings were enlivened by Slovenian folk groups and traditional dances, in the spirit of conviviality that has characterized this community event for over sixty years.
