Now in its 65th edition in 2026, it is one of the longest-running fish festivals in the Marche region: an event born from the initiative of the village's fishermen and families, which has grown to become a benchmark for lovers of seafood and genuine village festivals.

The heart of the festival is traditional seafood cuisine: Adriatic fish recipes passed down through generations, prepared by village volunteers. Blue fish, mixed fried fish, and traditional Marche coastal dishes are the stars, served at the food stalls set up for the occasion. The 65th Cesano Fish Festival was held from Friday, May 30 to Sunday, June 1, 2026, in the charming small square overlooking the Adriatic. Once again this year, the hamlet of Cesano and the entire community, along with the neighboring hamlets, came together in an atmosphere of celebration, participation, and sharing.
The star, as tradition dictates, was seafood cuisine with Adriatic fish recipes passed down through generations, served at the food stalls for both table dining and takeaway, accompanied by live outdoor music. Admission was free, and the event proceeded as planned.
The organization was handled by the Associazione La Marina Pro Cesano APS with the support of the Salvamento Service, volunteers, and local associations.

How to get there
By car: take the Senigallia exit from the A14 motorway, then head north along the SS16 Adriatica state road to Cesano. By train: Senigallia station on the Bologna-Ancona Adriatic line, then local connections to the hamlet. By plane: Ancona-Falconara airport, about 30 km away.
