Edition 2025 — Cervino CineMountain
The 28th edition of Cervino CineMountain was held from July 26 to August 2, 2025, at the foot of the Matterhorn, between Breuil-Cervinia, Valtournenche, Chamois, and La Magdeleine. The festival selected 69 films from over 366 entries from 73 countries, offering 19 premieres, 50 guests, and 40 events including matinees, talks, screenings, and evening events.
The prestigious Grand Prix des Festivals – Conseil de la Vallée, considered the Oscar of mountain cinema, was awarded to Songs of Earth (Fedrelandet) by Norwegian director Margreth Olin. Among other awards, the Montagnes du Monde Prize went to Mountain of Gold by Roland Edzard, the Montagne d'Italia Prize to Nella pelle del drago by Katia Bernardi, the Montagnes Tout Court Prize to América, and the CVAlps Prize ex aequo to Fiore Mio by Paolo Cognetti and Play-Off by Gaël Truc.
The edition reaffirmed the role of Valtournenche and the Aosta Valley as the capital of mountain cinema, capable of uniting major international works, mountaineering, and reflection on the challenges of high altitudes.
