Cente, Cunti e Canti

No 2025 edition

In 2025, the Cente, Cunti e Canti workshop did not yet appear on the calendar of San Rufo, in the Vallo di Diano, in the province of Salerno: the event sheet published by the organizers indicates the 2026 appointment as the first edition. Therefore, there is no 2025 program to document, and this page does not reconstruct one.

The context of those years

The Associazione Tempa in Festa APS, which promotes the workshop together with the Santa Maria Maggiore Parish, was already active in the village: the summer event Tempa in Festa, with its evenings of music, local flavors, and tradition, has a decade of editions behind it. Alongside it, the San Rufo calendar included, as every year, the Madonna della Tempa festival in September with the characteristic procession of wax cente, the celebrations for the patron saint on August 27th, and the autumn chestnut festival.

It is from this foundation that Cente, Cunti e Canti was born in 2026: a more intimate format, dedicated to the collection and transmission of traditional tales and songs, hosted in the Casa Canonica on Via Sant'Antonio.
